However we needn't have worried - we have had more positive responses, from the series of adverts on Town 102FM, than all of the other mediums put together. It has helped that the Town 102 ad production company have translated our ideas perfectly - balancing humour and message in just the right proportions.
Being a few miles out of the centre of Ipswich we needed to counter the ‘local' pull of other sign companies based in Ipswich. Advertising on Town has given us the identity with Ipswich that we needed and has helped us take work away from our key Ipswich competitors.
During the working day in particular, many of the Town 102FM audience seem to be workers and therefore potential customers. We targeted the ‘Blank Van Man' with the hope of getting an increase in vehicle graphics. This seems to make each pound we spend on advertising with Town 102 more effective than other areas. There is little point in us aiming at a much larger audience of say teenagers as they will not be the ones to buy our products and services. The sales team have tailored our campaign to get maximum response."
