"Ipswich's Got Talent" is looking for all acts to come forward - do you want to appear on the main stage at the Regent Theatre? Do you want to win £500?

To qualify, you just need to be over 10 years of age and live in Ipswich.

The 'Blast Off ' Disco Scout Charity Night!

7 local Scouts who have been specially selected to represent the Orwell District and Suffolk at the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden next year. For more info on the World Scout Jamboree please go to : www.ukcontingent.org.uk.

The Blast Off Disco was extremely popular during the 70’s and 80’s in the Felixstowe and Ipswich area, and they had quite a following! Tom Day and Charles Wright (who ran the disco) have very kindly agreed to reprise their amazing disco, for one night only!!

This big event ids being held at the Trimley Sports and Social Club in Trimley St Martin. 7:30 -11:30pm. Its entrance by ticket only, purchased in advance. £8.00 for adults and £6.00 for under 16’s, and can be bought by ringing: 01394 283327 and leaving a message, or emailing dicksmith@ntlworld.com prior to the event.

The foundation is a charity that raises money to grant children and young adults who are fighting and living with life threatening illnesses, magical wishes, whether its to go on a family holiday to Disney Land or have a bedroom make over!

Maritime Woodbridge

Maritime Woodbridge returns this year in September 2010 as part of the National Heritage Open Days. Many other attractions in the town will participate, including The Tide Mill and the town’s museums.

A major exhibition of all things nautical and a concert of nautical music song and dance will be staged in the former Whisstocks Boat Sheds, and throughout the two days shantymen and brass bands will play.
With the exception of food and drinks and items for sale in the exhibition, this event is completely free to visitors.
