One campaign group reckons it will lead to other shops having to shut down
because everyone will go to Tesco instead.

However, Tesco reckons it will actually encourage trade in the town.

Suffolk Police Staff Morale Low

In a recent survey, just one in five officers said they felt valued by Suffolk Police.

Over a thousand members of staff were questioned in the survey and the results are due to be discussed at a meeting on Friday.

In a statement, Suffolk Police said staff members view were vital.

They also said: "It is important to recognise that this survey has been carried out during an unprecedented period of change, which will continue in coming years as we seek to drive out further efficiencies and deliver better services with less resources.

"Expectations and demands have never been greater at a time when we are likely to have fewer resources and we accept that change and uncertainty will impact on staff morale."

This comes after the force was praised after improving their standards.

An inspection last year had graded Suffolk Police as 'poor' but now that's been upgraded to 'good'.
