Awarded to the men and women who look after us when we are in trouble whether it is a police officer, a fire– fighter, paramedic or the lifeguards and lifeboat men and women that patrol our coast.
Carer of the year
Awarded to somebody who has tirelessly given up their free time to look after someone less able than themselves.
Child of courage
For any young person (under 18) who has shown amazing courage in the face of trauma or adversity and has come through it with a positive outlook.
For an individual that deserves recognition for their contribution to the local area and who has given their time for free to make a difference to other peoples’ lives.
Contribution to the community
For somebody that deserves recognition for their contribution to the local area and who has given their time for free to make a difference to other peoples’ lives.
Dad of the year
For a dad whose life is dedicated to family, citizenship or charity.
Fundraiser of the year
For an outstanding individual who goes all out to raise valuable funds for local community projects, causes and charities.
For that ‘normal’ person who puts themselves out for their neighbour.
Mum of the year
An award for that special mum who has dedicated herself to family and others.
Awarded to someone who has personally achieved goals and aspirations beyond their own beliefs or the beliefs of others.
To recognise an individual who has put themselves in harm’s way to help or save the life of another.
Outstanding customer care
To recognise an individual or company that has gone beyond the scope of their role to ensure a customer received the
best possible care.
Sports star of the year
This award goes to someone who has excelled in any sport locally and has achieved recognition within the sporting sector, whether they are able bodied or not.
Teacher of the year
This award recognises teachers who are bringing learning to life by engaging and inspiring all children and young people to fulfil their potential.
This award goes to an individual who has achieved great things in their community yet refrains from claiming too much in return for his/ her efforts.
This is the ultimate accolade of the year and will be chosen by the judges from the winners of all of the other categories.
