Four people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man believed to be in his 20s.
Police and the ambulance service attended the area and the victim was pronounced dead at the side of Brandon Road just before 8pm yesterday, 3rd October.
A cordon remains in place in the Brandon Road and Canon's Close estate area.
Four men have been arrested in connection with it and remain in custody.
A spokesperson for police said: "Enquiries undertaken to establish the exact circumstances leading up to the death have been ongoing and have led detectives in the Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team to treat his death as murder."
Norfolk Police has set up an online information portal so people can share information with detectives from the Joint Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team.
Detective Chief Inspector Phillip Gray, who is leading the enquiry said: "The investigation is in its very early stages.
"I want to appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Brandon Road, Canon's Close or Canterbury Way or the surrounding woodland to contact the investigating team as a matter of urgency.
"I also want to reassure the community that we are dedicating considerable resources into establishing exactly what happened.
"They will see an increased police presence in the area over the following days."
The force say they believe this is an isolated incident and those involved are known to each other.
