Diamond engagement ring stolen near Diss

A nine carat gold engagement ring is missing after a burglary in Hopton, near Diss.

The incident happened at an address on Mill Lane on April 3rd at approximately 4pm.

The victim returned home to find that the back door from his conservatory into the house had been smashed, and that cupboards and drawers had been searched.

It is believed the diamond encrusted engagement ring was taken.

Whilst he was on the phone to police reporting the incident, the victim saw the culprit fleeing the scene via the back garden.

He was described as white, between twenty and thirty years old, of average build and with dark hair.

He was wearing a black polo shirt and blue jeans.
