A man has been re-arrested today in the investigation into the murder of 22-year-old Joe Pooley last summer.
Joe, who was 22, was found dead in the River Gipping near London Road on Monday 13th August 2018.
A post-mortem examination found the most likely cause of death was 'immersion in water'.
A 29 year old man from Ipswich has been re-arrested on suspicion of murder and has been taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre to be questioned by detectives.
He was previously arrested on 2nd October and 6th February, but was released under investigation on both cases.
A 36-year-old woman who was re-arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender on 6th February was released under investigation.
A 33-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both formerly from Ipswich, arrested on Thursday 17 January, on suspicion of murder were bailed to 12 and 14 February 2019 respectively.
A 28-year-old woman previously arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with the incident, was released under investigation.
