Update: The A11 between Fiveways roundabout and Elvedon has no reopened.
Police were called at 5.22am today, 7th July, to a report that a car had crashed into the rear of a lorry north of the roundabout.
Fire crews from Mildenhall, Newmarket and Bury St Edmunds were also called to the scene, and worked to the release the casualty from the car.
They say the incident was under control by 7.11am and the person was left in the care of the ambulance service, their injuries are not yet known.
The A11 is closed north bound between Fiveways roundabout and Elvedon, Highways England says the road could be closed for several hours.
